Great Falls' Newest Restaurant Is Serving Great Food… with a Robot in the Kitchen

Zesty Eatz brings Flippy automatic fry station to Montana

Zesty Eatz Opens as Montana's First Restaurant to Deploy Flippy, the AI-Powered Robotic Fry Cook Trusted by Operators Across the Country

Our team isn’t worn down by the hardest job in the kitchen anymore, and the food coming out is cooked perfectly every single time.”

GREAT FALLS, MT, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- With a fry cook built for Instagram, Great Falls has a new restaurant worth talking about. Zesty Eatz officially opened its doors this week under the ownership of Steven and Lola Galloway, longtime foodservice professionals and community leaders who built their kitchen around one simple, non-negotiable idea: the people of Montana deserve food made right, every single time, by a team that genuinely cares about the people they serve.

To deliver on that promise, the Galloways made deliberate choices about how their kitchen operates. One of those decisions was bringing in Flippy, the AI-powered robotic fry cook from Miso Robotics, to take over the restaurant's frying station. While it may sound futuristic, Flippy is already helping restaurants across seven other states deliver safer operations and consistently great food. Zesty Eatz is proud to be the first restaurant in Montana to bring the technology home.

The reason the Galloways made that decision has less to do with technology than it does with people.

Frying is one of the most physically demanding and injury-prone jobs in any commercial kitchen. Burns, repetitive strain, and fatigue are simply part of the job for anyone who has worked a busy fry station. At Zesty Eatz, Flippy handles that work so team members can focus on preparing great food, serving guests, and creating a better customer experience. The result is a kitchen where employees stay energized throughout their shifts while guests receive consistently high-quality meals.

"After 39 years in food service, we've learned to recognize when something is going to fundamentally improve the way a restaurant operates. Flippy is one of those things," said Steven Galloway, co-owner of Zesty Eatz. "Our team isn't worn down by the hardest job in the kitchen anymore, and the food coming out is cooked perfectly every single time. That matters to us, and it matters to the people we serve here in Great Falls. This is a community that works hard and expects a lot, and we believe they deserve a restaurant that operates with that same commitment every day."

For guests, the difference shows up both on the plate and in the experience. Flippy has prepared more than 5 million baskets in live commercial kitchens across restaurants, NBA arenas, and hospitality venues. Every basket is cooked to the same standard, whether it's a busy Friday night or a quiet Tuesday afternoon.

For the Galloways, bringing Flippy to Montana is simply another way to invest in their team, their customers, and their community.

"Montana is a place that takes pride in doing things right," said Lola Galloway, co-owner of Zesty Eatz. "Doing things right today means embracing the tools that help your team succeed while delivering the best possible experience for your guests. We want Zesty Eatz to be the kind of restaurant our community is proud to call its own."

Rich Hull, CEO of Miso Robotics, said Zesty Eatz represents exactly the type of independent operator the company built Flippy to support.

"I've spent every summer in Montana for the past 30 years. It's an incredibly special place for me, and it thrills me that Zesty Eatz will be Flippy's first home in Montana," Hull said. "Steven and Lola have built a restaurant around taking care of both their team and their guests. Every decision they've made reflects that philosophy, and we're proud to be part of what they've created for the Great Falls community."

Zesty Eatz is now open at 1601 Fox Farm Road.
